Lammersville Unified opened its newest Mountain House campus to families ahead of the new term, adding capacity to a district that now serves more than 7,500 students across eight K-8 schools and Mountain House High.
The district has been building more or less continuously for a decade, and the pattern is familiar: a campus opens, absorbs students from the two or three schools nearest it, and fills within a few years as new housing comes online around it.
What parents should check
Attendance boundaries move when a campus opens. Families near the new school may be reassigned, and the district publishes boundary maps alongside enrollment information.
Board meetings are where capacity decisions get made, and the board is also where the next school’s site and timeline will be discussed.
